Crane Falls Onto Car, Killing Two People in Klang

A static crane at a construction site in Jalan Astana, Meru suddenly collapsed and fell onto an unsuspecting car earlier today. The incident took place at around 12.30pm and killed two passengers who were believed to be in their 50s.

The victims, a male and female, were killed instantly after sustaining critical head injuries. Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Mohd Sani Harul said the victims were pronounced dead by a team of paramedics.

The department was alerted at 12.35pm and a team of seven firemen from Sungai Pinang was deployed to the scene immediately. The victims’ bodies have been sent to the Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for post-mortem.

Details of the horrifying incident and the victims’ identities are yet to be revealed.
