Ann Osman Has Retired From Pro Fighting

All good things must come to an end. 

Ann "Athena" Osman announced on her Instagram account that she would be trading the ring for an office adjacent to the ring.

"With a heavy heart, I have officially retired from my pro fighting days, a career I took on in exchange of a stable corporate career (at that time) which lead to an amazing 4 and half years of fighting in the ONE cage," she wrote on her official Facebook page.


However, despite her retirement, you'll still be able to see her not very far from the cage.

From now on, you can find her ring side as part of the Athlete Relations and Development team for One Championship led by MMA legend Matt Hume. 

Ann Osman was Malaysia's first pro female MMA fighter for Malaysia and has been the subject of a story by Time magazine and The New York Times. 

There's even a documentary done by Al Jazeera that gives viewers an insight into her training regiment before a fight and her family.
