Jarang sekali untuk kita melihat selebriti-selebriti popular menggunakan pengangkutan awam. Mungkin mahu menjaga imej dan status mereka, jadi rata-ratanya lebih suka memandu sendiri ataupun mengupah pemandu peribadi yang ditugas untuk menghantar dan menjemput selebriti-selebriti popular ini ke sana sini.

Namun bagi Chef Wan, meskipun tidak pernah mempunyai lesen memandu yang sah dan juga tidak pernah mempunyai mana-mana pemandu peribadi, itu tidak menjadikan beliau sukar untuk bergerak ke mana-mana.

Menerusi laman Instagram beliau, Chef Wan telah memberitahu bahawa beliau lebih gemar menggunakan perkhidmatan Uber dan lain-lain mod pengangkutan awam yang lain kerana ianya lebih mudah dan menyenangkan.

Tak pernah belajar memandu

 

After my Meletop talkshow last night i went home taking the UBER.

So easy menguna kan Uber this days tak payah nak deal dgn pelbagai perangai personal driver, parking or maintenance kereta kita!

At the same time u are helping to put less cars on the road pun. A car to me take u from point A to B. Asal tiba ke destinasi selamat alhamdulilah.

My entire life i have never learn to drive my own car pun!

Selain itu, Chef Wan turut memberitahu peminat-peminat yang beliau tidak pernah pun berasa malu menaiki pengangkutan awam dan beliau turut tidak mengendahkan persepsi masyarakat terdapat status beliau sebagai seorang chef selebriti No. 1 di Malaysia.

 

Buat apa nak malu?

Honestly speaking i dont care about my social status in public as to whether some one would feel disappointed seeing me arriving in a Uber car ke afterall they do not pay my bills!

The thing is when u also learned to live a “modest” life despite your acievement, i must honestly say i lead a much better, meaningful and happy life! Just be your cool self sudah la.

Even semlm at the talkshow set Nabil dan Rosyam before the show asked me.
” Datuk how shall we address u now..Prof Datuk..or Datuk Prof or boleh call Datuk aja?”

Saya gelak and told both of them call me whatever u feel comfortable and at ease.

 

CW..Wan, Abg Wan, Tok Wan anything pun i am still that same person and will never feel offended at how u wish to address me.
The whole world already knows what i have been blessed upon by Allah.

If there anything i can only be so grateful to be that same person i was born to this world. Lahir sebagai CW, meninggal esok pun saya di kenang sebagai CW.

Lets us all not be so uptight about who we are with regards to our social status in public, wealth or power. Semua ini hanya sementara sahaja di dunia ini.

When we leave this world we leave the same way we were brought into this world too.

Whats far more important while living in this world we must always try to do our best for ourselves, families, saudara mara likewise societies at large.

We were all born to play diff role in this so called “Fantastic Theater of the world” full of challenges and sacrificies to be made for the entire human civilization and our beautiful Nation.

Remember that the day u exit from this beautiful world u want to leave happy that u have put a smile on so many faces and touched other people life too.

Only insecured people choose to see things otherwise. Sadly to say.

Kenyataan Chef Wan ini kemudiannya telah mendapat respons yang positif daripada peminat-peminat yang rata-rata berasa kagum dengan sifat rendah dirinya meskipun sudah bergelar seorang Datuk dan jutawan.

Sikap sederhana Chef Wan ini seharusnya menjadi teladan dan inspirasi buat semua, bukan sahaja selebriti di luar sana, malah orang kebanyakan biasa pun.
