You Can Use Your Smartphone To Create 3D Hologram. Here's How

• To turn your smartphone into a 3D hologram projector, you will need graph paper, a CD case, a pen, a pair of scissors, sellotape, a craft knife or glass cutter and — of course — your smartphone

• 1. Start with sketching out a basic trapezoid shape on the graph paper using the dimensions 1cm x 3.5cm x 6cm

• 3. Carefully snap off the shallow sides of the CD case

• 4. Trace the shape on the CD case, then use the craft knife to cut out the shape. Use this first piece to cut out three additional pieces.

• 5. Tape the four shapes together to form the shape shown below:

• 6. Turn off the lights, place the DIY projector on your phone screen and load up a hologram-specific video
