MAS issued a travel advisory which was shared via its Twitter account, which stated that “the noise and vibration from the door was of no immediate risk” and due to “the interest of passenger safety, the flight captain decided to return to Heathrow Airport.” The airline also added that safety is “Malaysia Airlines’ number one priority” and MH1 is “serviced daily.

The aircraft’s journey can be tracked by aviation tracking site, Flight Radar. The aircraft tracking app also shared MH1’s flight route this morning via their Twitter account. Flight Radar initially suggested that the aircraft will be diverted to Amsterdam but it eventually landed back at the Heathrow Airport.
