PETALING JAYA: A Malaysia Airlines flight en route to Kuala Lumpur turned back to London today due to a medical emergency.

Malaysia Airlines said the captain was informed of the medical situation involving a passenger three hours into the flight and over Germany, reported The Star today.

“The captain made the decision to turn back to London’s Heathrow Airport for medical assistance,” the airlines said.

The airline said the Airbus 380 landed at Heathrow safely at 8.10pm Malaysian time and a team of paramedics were on standby to attend to the affected passenger upon arrival.
