That's a legit signature right there. Image: Thereporter.my
The distraught 'Babi' was given the summons for her to sign and obliged the police officer. Upon retrieving the ticket, the police officers were understandably enraged at her insubordination and the officers confronted her about her seemingly vulgar signature. Confused and panicked, 'Babi' had no other recourse but to plead with the officers that her name was in fact 'Babi'. "Nama saya Babi! Babi!" Her screams for vindication fell on deaf ears.
Traffic police reprimanded her for her misbehaviour and she reportedly acted aggressively towards them. Possibly a reaction to their disbelief that her name was in fact 'Babi'. She will be charged today under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955.
In other news, excuse us for this little bit of satire (read the non-satirical version of this story at The Star). The woman in question may or may actually be named 'Babi'. Just look at the signature, she wrote it in cursive, resembling a signature. Though the likelihood of her actually signing every official documents she receives 'Babi' is doubtful. Johor Baru Selatan police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh said in his statement regarding the case that the public is advised against using words that are indecent, threatening, abusive or insulting, and to refrain from behaving in a threatening or insulting manner to cause anger and disrupt peace.
